The history of Coldingham Priory and associated St Aebbs monastery stretches over many centuries with the building of the first church in 1100 which by 1150 had become a priory. The current church dates from around 1850 and visiting this interesting building forms part of the tour. |
| Why not join your fellow historians in exploring the extensive ruins of the Priory in the company of an experienced local guide. The tour will begin at 1200 and last about an hour. There are two adjacent hotels serving lunches which you might wish to sample. Or there is the Old Smiddy Coffee Shop a short distance away on the outskirts of St Abbs which town now has a new visitor centre. |
